Professional Profile
Hello, I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with almost 20 years experience of working in the NHS, lecturing in universities at doctoral level, supervising at Psychotherapy organisations, and creating and leading couple projects at the renowned Tavistock Relationships. I am also a Holistic Relational Coach and bring a spiritual dimension to my work being both a meditation teacher and a Certified Reiki Energy Practitioner.
I specialise in seeing both individuals and couples and can advise you if you are not sure whether or not to seek therapy alone or with your partner. I also see families or conjoint therapy with parents and children. I primarily work in a psychoanalytic way which means I consider unconscious processes to play an important part in our experience of ourselves and of our relationships. Additionally, I am trained in a range of other models, such as CBT and Systemic Family Therapy, and use diverse ways of engaging and exploring these processes and believe that we jointly work together to help you understand your issues and find a way forward.
My training and experience in individual, couple and family approaches enable me to help you deal with a range of problems you may be facing, such as:
● Relationship Breakdown
● Depression of One or Both Partners
● Anxiety and its Different Faces
● Fear of Failure and Imposter Syndrome
● Developing Self-Care and Compassion
● Lack of Desire
