Couple and Individual Psychotherapist
Erica Herrero-Martinez
Professional Profile:
I am an experienced Couple and Individual Psychotherapist. I completed my training at Tavistock Relationships, an internationally renowned charity for advanced practice, training and research, where I worked as a Senior Clinician and Assessor.
I can help if you find yourself stuck in damaging or repetitive arguments with your partner and help couples better communicate over issues which may be painful, shameful or can cause explosive arguments. I also work with individuals who are perhaps struggling in their relationships or in the aftermath of a relationship ending.
My approach is supportive, empathic and open-minded but I also challenge my clients, for example, by exploring damaging behaviours or patterns and highlighting issues which may have been ignored or avoided.
I have a particular interest in cross-cultural relationships, and have experience working with couples and individuals struggling with issues such as emotional and physical intimacy, changes after the arrival of a new baby, anxiety, depression, trauma, infidelity, parenting, infertility, non-monogamy, ill-health and retirement.
I practise in both English and Spanish.
